About Amber

Hello, I’m Amber Dollyhigh. Welcome to my Web site! I am currently practicing Speech-Language Pathology in beautiful Asheville, NC. I have worked with many amazing people, preschool through geriatric population, which has lead me to discover a love of working with children in literacy.

As a child, I wrote silly books for myself and others, (with particular emphasis on dedications) and have always thought I’d like to let others read my books.

When I found myself working with people who have special needs, I found we needed lots of different types of stories about life everyday…and I just couldn’t find the books I pictured in my head. Then, I realized, they are in MY HEAD and I can write the books. So, I did.

These books are intended for enjoyment only! They are intended to encourage language and vocabulary and rhyming and writing stories of your own.
